PCRC urges police to sustain community policing
The leadership of the Police Community Relations Committee, PCRC is urging the Nigerian Police Force to sustain its usage of community policing strategy across the country.
In a courtesy visit to Kano state Police command, the National Vice-chairman of the committee Olaniyan Ibrahim and the Kano state chapter chairman, Musa Adamu said their committee will want the hierarchy of the Nigerian Police to ensure the complete implementation of community policing strategy in the nation.
In his remarks, the Kano State Police commissioner, Ahmed ILIYASU said community policing has become the globally accepted norm in Policing any group of people. He urged members of PCRC to continue to support the effort of the Nigerian Police in maintaining law and order.
Iliyasu said community policing is an adopted strategy of the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu.
