Navy harps on community relation in tackling crime

Navy harps on community relation in tackling crime

The flag officer commanding the Central Naval Command comprising Delta, Edo, Bayelsa, Ondo and parts of Anambra state, Rear Admiral Mohammed Garba, has attributed the reason behind sustaining the Navy free medical services on the cooperation by Bayelsa communities in fighting maritime crime.


He made the disclosure at Ogoibiri community in Bayelsa state during the free medical services provided to the community residents.

Speaking further, he stressed that the Navy has never encountered hostilities in carrying out the medical rhapsody, while the community chairman and a beneficiary thanked the Navy for the gesture.

The exercise which is a monthly affair is seen by the Nigerian Navy as its social responsibility in cementing the relationship with communities in their areas of operation.
