LAUTECH workers treathen strike

 

Non-academic Staff Unionsof the ladies Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomsho have again decried the insensitivity of the two owners government to the affairs of the institution.

Already the union which claimed that the government of Oyo and Osun states have reneged on their promise before the last industrial action was suspended said they will not hesitate to resume the strike if their demands are not met.

Correspondent Kunle ojo reports that the Chairman of the Senior Staff Association of Universities,  Ladoke Akintola University, ogbomosho,  Abimbola Aleshinloye and the Chairman of National Association of Technician, Adeagbo Tajudeen at a new conference in ibadan said they will disrupt the ongoing examination is government failed to listen to them.

They disclosed that only two months salaries were paid to them by the management of the institution and that the promised made by both Governor Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo State and Rauf Aregbesola of the State of Osun have been compromised not to talk of the recommendations of the Olanipekun panel of enquiry.

They called on well meaning Nigerians and other stakeholders to prevail on the owner Governors of the school to be alive to their responsibilities.

They disclosed that no fewer than five members of their respective unions have died due to lack of money to take care of their health.

The students of the University who are almost two years behind their counterpart across the country are currently writing their examination.
