Man arrested for Spraying, Stepping On Nigerian currency

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested Muhammed Kabir Sa’ad, a social media content creator, in Kaduna over an alleged abuse of Naira note
In a post shared by the EFCC on X (formerly Twitter), Sa’ad—known online as @youngcee0066 on TikTok and Instagram—was seen in a viral video throwing naira notes on the ground, stepping on them, and posting a status in Hausa challenging the EFCC over arrest
In the status, he mocked the commission and dared its operatives to arrest him if they could.
The EFCC noted that this prompt Anum intelligence surveillance by it operatives who tracked him to the Tudun Wada area of Kaduna town and arrested him.
The agency emphasized that the public defacing or abuse of the naira remains a criminal offence under the Central Bank of Nigeria Act.
