Insecurity: PDP Asks FG to Seek External Help

The People's Democratic Party has renewed its call for the federal government to seek help in its fight against terrorism and sundry criminality happening in the country. 

National chairman of the Party, PDP, Prince Uche Secondus was speaking at a world press conference he held in Abuja, Monday.

Secondus called for immediate upscaling of personnel strength in the security agencies advising the government to partner with international countries to fight against terrorism in Nigeria. 

He further hammered on the immediate creation of state police for effective security of lives and property in the country.

The national chairman also requested for a one- stock Security Summit to proffer solutions to the issue of insecurity in the Nation.

He said the summit should be attended by state governors, National Assembly members and other relevant government stakeholders. 

The party also called for the deployment of technology in the fight against terrorism and insurgency to help bring perpetrators to book. 

These suggestions are the outcome of series of meetings held by several organs of the party in the past few weeks.
