Governor Akeredolu kicks against child abuse
The governor of Ondo state,Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has declared unacceptable in the state, all forms of violence against children.
This was part of his speech at this year`s children`s day celebration held at Gani Fawehinmi freedom arcade in Akure the state capital. The governor who joined children of Ondo state maintained his zero tolerance stance and issued red cards to violence against children.
The Ondo state governor frowned at violence against children all over the world and declared that henceforth, the state government will not take it lightly with anyone found culpable in this regard.
The implored parents to devote more time for the wards to ensure hitch free development in their endeavors.
He further promised that his administartion will soon commence total free education in primary and secondary schools and as well provide a meal to pupils across the state.
In a recent development, the wife of the Ondo state governor, Betty Akeredolu, organised free medical treatment to children to mark this year`s children`s day celebration.
Betty Akeredolu charged parents to take the health of their wards very seriously for them to be able to perform well in their academic engagements.
