Flood invades another community in Delta

In two weeks after Agbarho community in Ughelli North local government area of Delta state was submerged under water, another oil-rich Delta community of Enhwe in Isoko South local government area of Delta state have been submerged with residents relocating.


The rising water level which is as a result of a two days heavy downpour, led to the closure of schools and churches, while farmlands were overtaken by the flood.

Speaking on a canoe as he leaves the community, the leader of the community said the flood has taken over the community. 

According to the community spokesperson, some market women in the area had losts their goods worth thousands of naira to flood.

The Delta state government through the commissioner for information promised to send government team to the community when Galaxy news contacted him on the effect of the flood, as relocated residents promised not to return until government presence is felt.
