Nigerian Army has declared that its men in the Southwest region are poised to complement efforts of the Nigeria Police in combatting different security challenges.

Maj. Gen. Anthony Omozeje, the General Officer Commanding (GOC), 2 Division, Nigerian Army, Ibadan, said this in Akure while commissioning a newly reconstructed road at the 32 Artillery Brigade.

Onoze, who pointed out that the Nigerian Police leads when it comes to issues of internal security, explained that the synergy would go a long way in combatting security challenges in the Southwest.

Also speaking on behalf of the governor of Ondo state, the Deputy Governor, Agboola Ajayi, said men of the Nigerian Army had sacrificed a lot and they deserved a better working environment.

Ajayi said the state government would continue to support all security agencies in the state to have a peaceful environment.
