There is seeming tension as the Supreme Court of Nigeria, taking full hearing of the substantive appeal from counsels to the parties in suit filed by the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, reserved judgment till further notice.

The delayed judgement generated subtle uncertainty and apprehended in the camps of the various parties to the appeal.

The suit involves former Governor Sule Lamido of Jigawa State, the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Austin Nwachukwu, and two other respondents.

At the proceedings, the regularisation of processes and full hearing of the substantive appeal were completed.

The Supreme Court did not mention particular time of judgement, but said it will communicate the final judgment at a later date.
