The Supreme Court has reserved it's judgement on a petition filed against the victory of Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun state by the Governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic party in the State, Oladipupo Adebutu.

Also, the court, equally dumped the cross appeal by Abiodun Oluseun for lack of merit and decided to look substantive matter.

At the hearing of the Appeal on Thursday, Counsels adopted their brief  and prayed the court to do justice to the matter.

Counsel to Adebutu, Chris Uche faulted the position of the independent National Electoral Commission for violating the law for the cancellation of votes in 99 polling unit.

He prayed the court to look into the matter in the interest of Justice and order the electoral commission to abide with the provision of the law.

Also on its part, Counsel to Governor Dapo Abiodun, Wole Olanipekun SAN, urged the court to dismiss the appeal for lack of merit noting that, there was no substance in the appeal.

Justice Nyang Okoro therefore reserved his ruling on the matter to a latter date to be communicated to counsels.
