Premidis Nigeria Limited is expanding its presence in Nigeria’s competitive beverage market with the launch of Hard Rockk and a renewed push for its premium ginger-flavoured alcoholic beverage, Nkolo Mboka.

The company unveiled Hard Rockk, an alcoholic ready-to-drink carbonated beverage, while promoting Nkolo Mboka at an event in Lagos attended by distributors, trade partners and other industry stakeholders.

The Country Manager of Premidis Nigeria, Olawale Olarewaju, said the expansion was part of the company’s strategy to grow its product portfolio and distribution network across the country.

He identified distributors as critical to the success of the new products, stressing that their knowledge of local markets and consumers would help the company take the brands to more Nigerians.

“Our distributors are our partners on the ground. They understand the different markets, consumers and opportunities across the country,” Olarewaju said.

He described Hard Rockk as a modern ready-to-drink beverage designed for adult consumers seeking convenience and refreshment, while assuring distributors of the company’s support as they take the product into different markets.

Olarewaju also acknowledged the responsibility associated with alcoholic beverages, saying Premidis would maintain responsible marketing and distribution practices and encourage its partners to comply with Nigerian laws and responsible-drinking principles.

Speaking on Nkolo Mboka, its brand ambassador, Prince White, described his partnership with the company as “history in the making”.

He said his role went beyond representing the product to building a relationship with Nigerian consumers based on trust and shared values.

“This is not just about being the face of a product. It is about building a relationship with Nigerians and creating a partnership based on trust and shared values,” he said.

The Chairman of Premidis Nigeria, Gopinath Reddy, said Nkolo Mboka was positioned as an African-inspired premium beverage and contained selected herbal ingredients.

He disclosed that the drink was available in four variants as the company seeks to strengthen its position in Nigeria’s premium beverage market.

Premidis said it would continue to work with distributors, retailers and other stakeholders to drive the growth of the two brands while maintaining its focus on product quality, responsible marketing and market expansion.
