One person, reportedly a serving National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member, has been killed after an articulated truck crashed into several vehicles around Agodi Gardens and the Secretariat area of Ibadan, Oyo State.
Several other people sustained injuries in the incident, which disrupted traffic in the area.
An eyewitness said the truck had earlier crashed into vehicles around the Sango area before heading towards Agodi Gardens, allegedly while the driver was attempting to escape.
The eyewitness said the truck later rammed into a motorcycle, killing the corps member and injuring other road users.
Operatives of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) arrived at the scene, while traffic was diverted to ease movement and support emergency response efforts.
FRSC personnel confirmed that the injured victims had been taken to nearby hospitals for treatment.
The circumstances surrounding the crashes, including the cause of the truck driver's alleged attempt to flee, were not immediately clear.
