Okpebholo made the commitment during a visit to the community, where residents and motorists have continued to grapple with the poor condition of the road.
The governor’s visit came about a month after the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Peter Obi, raised concerns over the state of the road leading to the Edo State Government House.
Okpebholo, who had earlier promised to rehabilitate the road during his first visit to the community, renewed the commitment and urged residents to support the administration of President Bola Tinubu.
The governor also cautioned residents against being deceived by opposition politicians over campaign promises, while insisting that Tinubu had the experience required to lead the country.
He said the Federal Government and Edo State Government were committed to addressing infrastructure challenges affecting residents.
A Community leader, Benson Edobor, appealed to the governor to expedite action on the road, noting that its condition had made movement difficult for residents and motorists.
The community has continued to seek government intervention to make the road motorable and improve access to the area.
