Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun has warned violators of the laid down coronavirus guidelines, especially those who disregard wearing of face mask in the State to desist or face arrest and prosecution.

Abiodun made the disclosure on the sideline of an on-the-spot visit to the Kuto fire inferno in  Abeokuta, the State capital.

The Governor said the government will roll out strict measures to curtail the spread of the virus which he said would include arrest and fine of anyone found in public places without wearing of face mask.

He noted that the second wave which is more contagious must be tackled with all seriousness, stressing that the second wave has claimed more lives than the first.

He, therefore, appealed to residents to adhere to the preventive measures put in place by the government towards stemming the tide of the COVID-19 infections.
