The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has urged prospective corps members for the 2026 Batch ‘C’ Stream One to avoid night travel as they prepare for the three-week orientation course scheduled to begin on Wednesday, September 30, 2026.
The NYSC Director-General, Brigadier Olakunle Nafiu, also advised the prospective corps members to use designated motor parks when travelling to their respective orientation camps.
The Director, Information and Public Relations, Caroline Embu, disclosed this in a statement on Tuesday, announcing that the 2026 Batch ‘C’ Stream One orientation course would run from September 30 to Tuesday, October 20, 2026.
According to the statement, registration of corps members will take place from September 30 to October 2, while the swearing-in ceremony is scheduled for Friday, October 2.
The orientation exercise will be held simultaneously across the 36 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory.
Nafiu wished the prospective corps members and course officials safe journeys to their respective orientation camps.
He also urged the prospective corps members to avoid night journeys and board vehicles only at designated motor parks.
The NYSC urged all participants to adhere to the safety advice as they make their way to the orientation camps.
