NSCDC Deploys 1,760 Personnel Eid-El Kabir In Benue

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Benue State Command, has deployed 1,760 personnel across Benue State to ensure Public order and safety during the Sallah holidays.

The Corps Commandant, Bitrus Larai, announced that the move is aimed at protecting the Critical National Assets and Infrastructure of Government, as well as guarantee peace and security of the Benue people before, during, and after the Sallah celebrations.

State Commandant, Bitrus Alice Larai, in her appraisal charge to Heads of Department, Area Commanders, Divisional Officers, Heads of Special Units and Location Commanders, stated that the Eid-El-Kabir celebration, which commences on 27th and 28th May 2026, will attract large congregations at Eid prayer grounds, Markets, and recreational parks across the 23 Local Government Areas.

She directed all deployed Personnel to be professional and provide security, crowd control, traffic management, emergency response at all designated Eid prayer grounds and strategic locations, to ensure peaceful and hitch- free Sallah cerebration.

In a statement issued by the command public relations officer, Superintendent of Corps, Ejelikwu Micheal, indicated that the Commandant enjoined Personnel to be professional, vigilant and dedicated in carrying out this assignment, while promising to continue to collaborate with other sister security agencies for the overall safety of the State.
