The staff of Nigeria's National Assembly embarked on protest within the premises of the federal legislature, agitating irregularities in payment of their salaries and allowances.

The National Assembly staff complain of non-implementation of minimum wage, non-payment of housing and wardrobe allowances, inadequate Muslim Salah bonuses, short payment of staff salaries, as well as non-remittance of pension deductions; etc.

The staff gathered at the entrance auditorium to the Upper Chamber, The Senate, and the Lower Chamber, the House of Representatives, of the legislature, displayed placards to convey their grievances, being backed by the union.
