The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has graduated 38 personnel from Air Range Management Course 2/2026 at the Air Traffic Services Training Centre (ATSTC), Kaduna, reinforcing its commitment to purposeful training, aviation safety and operational effectiveness. The two-week course equipped 10 officers and 28 Airmen/Airwomen with essential skills to manage air ranges and enhance weapons training proficiency.
The training combined classroom instruction with practical field exercises in range control, safety management, weapons-handling procedures, and planning and conducting air range activities. By strengthening these specialised capabilities, the NAF continues to enhance the professional standards and disciplined management of training environments essential for safe and effective airpower employment.
Speaking at the graduation ceremony on 16 October 2026, the Commandant ATSTC, Air Vice Marshal NB Folaji, expressed appreciation to the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke DFS, for his commitment to capacity building in line with his Command Philosophy of purposeful training for operational effectiveness. He charged the graduands to uphold established procedures and transfer their knowledge to other personnel as they assume responsibilities as Air Range Managers across the Service.
