Lawyers brainstorm on effective judicial system

The need to strengthen the Nigerian Judicial system has been attributed to the appointment of credible judges with intellectual capacities

This was the discourse at the 2019 law week jointly organized by the Nigerian Bar Association Warri and Effurun Branch, in Warri south local government area of Delta state with the theme THE JUDICIARY IN NIGERIA, SYSTEMATIC AND OPERATIONAL CHALLENGES.

Delivering their welcome address in the capacity-filled auditorium in Warri, the Warri and Effurun NBA chairmen said the 2019 law week discussions will help strengthen the judiciary.

Speaking on the theme, the chairman of the occasion and former president of the NBA Pa Thompson Okpoko SAN and the keynote speaker spoke on the need for credible judges and lawyers in the Nigerian judicial system.

The three-day event is expected to bring together legal luminaries and speakers from across the country to brainstorm on the need for an efficient legal system and finding solutions to improving it.
