The Lagos State Government has urged residents to report online vendors who deliver goods that differ from what customers ordered, as it intensifies efforts to tackle unfair business practices.

The Lagos State Consumer Protection Agency (LASCOPA) gave the advice in a consumer awareness message on Monday, asking buyers to speak up when products fail to match their descriptions or expected quality.

The agency warned consumers against keeping silent when online purchases fall short of sellers’ promises, urging them to register complaints against vendors who fail to fulfil their obligations.

“Goods or products you order online should be delivered as promised,” LASCOPA said, adding that consumers should take action when items delivered differ from their orders or advertised descriptions.

The agency encouraged affected residents to report cases of unfair business practices through its toll-free helpline, 080 0005 2726, or by email at lasgcopa@gmail.com.

It reaffirmed its commitment to protecting consumers’ rights, stating that consumers in Lagos State deserved fair treatment from businesses.
