The exercise covers four categories: detective superintendent, detective inspector, detective assistant, and professionals and skilled workers.
Interested applicants are expected to submit their applications online through the commission’s recruitment portal at https://recruitment.efcc.gov.ng.
For the detective superintendent position, designated Assistant Superintendent of EFCC II on Grade Level 08, applicants must possess a bachelor’s degree or Higher National Diploma from a recognised institution, alongside a valid National Youth Service Corps discharge or exemption certificate.
Candidates for the position must be between 18 and 30 years old.
Applicants for detective inspector, designated Inspector of EFCC II on Grade Level 06, must possess a National Diploma or National Certificate in Education from a recognised institution. The age range for the position is 18 to 27 years.

Other areas of interest include human resources management, financial analysis, media and publicity, policy analysis, legal services, research, planning, monitoring and evaluation, library services, information and communication technology, driving, administrative and clerical services, and estate surveying and valuation.
Applicants in the professional and skilled workers category must have graduated from recognised institutions and possess an NYSC discharge or exemption certificate. Membership of a relevant professional association will be an added advantage, while a valid national driving licence will also be beneficial.
The general requirements include Nigerian citizenship, basic computer skills, medical fitness and a clean criminal record. Applicants must declare all their academic and professional qualifications and provide evidence of medical fitness from a government-approved hospital.
The recruitment information also states that candidates must not have tattoos on any part of their bodies.
Additional conditions apply to cadets, who must be single. Male applicants must be at least 1.67 metres tall, while female candidates must have a minimum height of 1.64 metres.
Applicants are expected to demonstrate good character and integrity and should ensure that they meet the requirements for their preferred positions before completing the online form.
To apply, candidates should visit the official portal, select the appropriate category, review its eligibility criteria and complete the application form with accurate personal, educational and professional details. They should check all entries before submission and retain a copy of the completed form, as shortlisted candidates may be required to present printed copies during screening.
The recruitment information states that applications are expected to be submitted within one week of the exercise’s commencement. However, it does not provide a specific opening or closing date, so prospective applicants should confirm the official timeline on the EFCC portal.
The application process is free. Applicants have been warned against individuals or organisations demanding money in exchange for recruitment assistance and advised to rely only on information published through the commission’s official channels.
