Police operatives from Akpafa Division carried out the interception during a routine stop-and-search operation. The suspect, identified as Abdulrahman, was travelling in a Honda vehicle with registration number FST 700 DH from Edo State and heading towards Abuja when he was intercepted.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the suspect was involved in the sale and distribution of Indian hemp.
