The Kano State Government has approved over 400 million Naira (N489,258,000 million)  as registration fee for the Senior Secondary Certificate Examinations, SSCE, of 29,126 indigenous students.

Kano state correspondent King Richard reports that the sponsored students will seat for National Examination Council and National Board for Arabic and Islamic Studies, after passing the state qualifying examinations.

The Public Relations Officer of the state Ministry of Education, Ali Yusuf, in a statement said the approval followed the approval of one of the three submissions the ministry presented to the State Executive Council.

The statement urges the students to do their best in the aforementioned examinations.
