Ahead of the National disability summit, the minister of humanitarian affairs, disaster management and social development, Hajia Sadiya Farouq has reiterated the Federal Government's commitment to lift 100 million Nigerians out of poverty with the inclusion of persons with disabilities.

The minister made this known at the familiarisation visit to the National Commission for disability headquarters in Abuja, Wednesday.

The Minister said over thirty-one million persons with disabilities are beginning to have the visibility and inclusivity that the community has long yearned for.

Also speaking Senator Tanko Al'makura said the intervention of the commission in collaboration with the ministry of humanitarian affairs has given hope to persons living with disabilities to achieve their future goals.

The Executive secretary of persons living with disabilities, David Lalu said the institution is committed to providing necessary services for persons with disabilities as the minister commissioned two operational vehicles and an electronic certificate production center.
