Governor of Bayelsa state, Seriake Dickson has called on undergraduates in the state and other institutions of learning across the country to shun cultism and work hard in ensuring that they come out in flying colours.

The governor made the disclosure at the government house in Yenagoa after signing the executive order to ensure first class graduates from the state get automatic employment.

Fielding questions from newsmen after a session with thirty one first class graduates from the state, governor Dickson said employing the first class graduates will encourage others.

On his part, the commissioner for education spoke on the initiative as some of the graduates expressed joy over the gesture.

The initiative which is the first by the Bayelsa state government will go a long way in improving students’ performance in tertiary institutions and providing students the opportunity to serve in government parastals .
