The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Tuesday, arrested former Minister of Power, Saleh Mamman, in Kaduna, who has been on the run after conviction and sentencing to 75 years imprisonment on prosecution of N33.8 billion impropriety.
A Federal High Court, sitting in Abuja, presided by Justice James Omotosho, had sentenced the former Minister of Power, Saleh Mamman, to 75 years imprisonment, having been found guilty on charges of N33.8 billion money laundering and fraud.
Justice Omotosho convicted Mamman on all 12 counts against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.
Justice Omotosho convicted and sentenced Mamman in absentia, and subsequently, issued a warrant for his arrest.
Omotosho, accordingly, directed all security agencies to cooperate with Interpol for the arrest of the former power minister.
