Benue State Government said it is employing all measures necessary to address and find a lasting solution to the perennial flooding in parts of the state.

Both noted that the longtime solution is addressing the issues of River Basins, which involves dredging river Benue; opening drainage channels effectively and how water management.

With several communities already affected and properties lost to flooding in recent weeks, Benue state government says adequate place has been provided for those displaced but said talks are ongoing with both federal government and development partner to find a solution to avert future occurrence.
