Bayelsa state governor, Seriake Dickson has called on Bayelsans to embrace the state health insurance scheme, as the reasons which it was established is for their benefit.

He made the disclosure in Yenagoa, the Bayelsa state capital during the commissioning of the health insurance, information, and malaria research center as part of activities marking his sixth year administration.

The commissioning which brought together former ministers of information and political bigwigs from across the country led to the call by the governor on the need to register for the health scheme.

The commissioning which was done by the former minister for information and orientation Professor Jerry  Gana and former Sokoto state deputy governor Mukhtar Shagari, saw them speaking on the importance of the project.

The governor Dickson’s sixth-year administration celebration is expected to end tomorrow with the expected arrival of former president Olusegun Obasanjo, who is to commission projects in the state.
