The Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, Ibadan Zone, has called President Bola Ahmed Tinubu government to speedily implement its pending 2025 FGN-ASUU Agreement to avoid another round of industrial unrest across the nation's universities.
This was part of a press briefing by the zonal chairman, Comrade Biodun Olaniyan, comprising University of Ibadan, University of Ilorin, Ladoke Akintola University, Ogbomosho, Osun State University, Kwara State University, and Emmanuel Alayande University of Education, Oyo held at University of Ibadan on Thursday.
The Union, while condemning poor welfare of university lecturers, nation's insecurity, fuel hike, inflation, the ASUU Ibadan Zonal Chairman, called on the President of Nigeria, Minister of Education, leadership of the National Assembly, and other stakeholders, to act speedily on the federal government and Academic Staff Union agreement and declare a state of emergency against all forms of national security challenges.
