The Academic Staff Union of Universities has called on Nigerians to prevail on the Dr. Wale Babalakin to embrace a change of attitude in the interest of helpless Nigerian children whose parent cannot afford the cost of highly priced and privatized university system.

The President of the association, Biodun Ogunyemi made the call while addressing journalists in Abuja.

Ogunyemi condemned the defiant behavior and current approach of Dr. Bablakin to the ongoing negotiation saying, the future of Nigerian universities is in jeopardy.

He, however, lamented the level of frustration occasioned by the lackadaisical attitude of government towards meeting the terms of the 2019 memorandum of action that was freely signed with the union saying government must act now to save the future of Nigeria’s education.
