Benue State Governor, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia, has congratulated Professor Ukertor Gabriel Moti on his appointment as the Acting Vice Chancellor of Philomath University, Abuja.

Benue State Governor, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia, has congratulated Professor Ukertor Gabriel Moti on his appointment as the Acting Vice Chancellor of Philomath University, Abuja.

The governor described the appointment as a recognition of Prof. Moti's years of distinguished service to academia, administration and public sector management.

He commended the Governing Council of Philomath University for finding Professor Moti worthy of the responsibility, saying his extensive experience in teaching, research, university administration and governance places him in a strong position to provide purposeful leadership to the institution.

The governor noted with delight Professor Moti’s contributions to public administration and management, both within Nigeria and internationally, particularly acknowledging his engagements with professional and academic institutions across different countries, as well as his service at the University of Abuja, where he was Dean of the School of Postgraduate Studies and Director of the Abuja Leadership Centre.

Governor Alia expressed confidence that Professor Moti will bring his wealth of experience, knowledge, and leadership skills to bear on his new assignment, while strengthening the pursuit of academic excellence, innovation, and institutional development at Philomath University.

He congratulated the management, staff and students of Philomath University on the appointment, expressing hope that the institution would continue to make meaningful contributions to the development of education and human capital in Nigeria.

While wishing Professor Moti a successful tenure as Acting Vice Chancellor of the institution, he urged him to remain committed to the values of integrity, scholarship and service for which he has become known in his professional career.
