Tinubu described Gov. Umo Eno as a great and visionary leader with frank intentions to enthrone lasting legacies in Akwa Ibom.
Tinubu said that Eno’s commitment to Akwa Ibom’s development led the Federal Government to grant the Victor Attah International Airport international flight status.
Reacting to the president’s visit, Chief Marcus Akpan, a Uyo-based businessman, described the new terminal building as a good omen for the airport.
“It is a good thing to hear. The implication is that the airport is growing and taking on an international status,” he said.
Samuel Ekefre, a Solar Expert, said that the new terminal building would attract more international visitors and investments to the state.
” The international terminal will open Akwa Ibom to the global community and attract more businesses,” he said.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that during the visit, Tinubu will hold a town hall meeting with political stakeholders in the state.
