2 female suicide bombers kill more than 30 people in populatr maiduguri market, witnesses and police say.

 

According to eyewitness accounts the suicide bombers detonated their bombs around 11:30 am this morning.

 

It will be recalled that President Jonathan had moved to extend the state of emergency in the North-East states but his views were not well received by certain members of the Senate.

The three states under 'state of emergency' are Borno capital of Maiduguri, jos and Adamawa.
