Toronto police in Canada have appealed for more alleged victims to come forward after charging a 28-year-old Nigerian, Adebayo Maoli, over two separate incidents involving alleged indecent acts on the city’s subway system.

The Toronto Police Service said investigators believed there might be additional victims following the incidents reported at King and College subway stations in September and October 2026.

According to a police statement published on Sunday, Maoli was charged with two counts of committing an indecent act and one count of sexual assault.

Police alleged that the first incident occurred at about 3pm on September 1, when Maoli exposed himself to two passengers aboard a southbound Toronto Transit Commission subway train at King Station.

The victims reportedly activated the train’s security alarm, prompting the suspect to leave the train.

In a second incident, which allegedly occurred at about 12.10am on October 3, police said the suspect followed a passenger who was getting off a subway train at College Station.

“The victim got onto an escalator and the accused followed,” the police statement said.

It added that the suspect allegedly exposed himself to the passenger, who verbally confronted him, causing him to flee the area.

Maoli, who resides in Toronto, was arrested in connection with the investigation. Police released his image and appealed to members of the public who might have information about the incidents to contact investigators.

He was scheduled to appear before the Toronto Regional Bail Centre at 2201 Finch Avenue West on Friday, October 9, at 9.30am.
