Nigerian rapper Zlatan Ibile and his partner, Davita Lamai, have announced October 24, 2026, as their wedding date, with their child featured in a video celebrating their family life.
The couple unveiled the date in a “Save the Date” video shared on Instagram on Thursday night, accompanied by the caption, “24 October 2026”.
In the video, one of their children reflects on the couple’s relationship, describing their home as a place of love, laughter and mutual support.
“When I think about love, I think about my mommy and daddy. They have shown me that family means laughing together, supporting each other, and always feeling loved,” the child says.
The voiceover also acknowledges the children’s place in their parents’ relationship, adding, “My little brother and I are part of their love story, and I thank God for our family.”
The announcement has drawn attention to the couple’s relationship, which has largely played out in the public eye.
In July, Zlatan and Davita reportedly informed friends and colleagues about their forthcoming wedding while travelling to the wedding of businessman and music executive Soso Soberekon.
They also fuelled speculation about their marital status earlier in the year after appearing in family photographs wearing wedding rings. Reports subsequently suggested that they might have held a private civil ceremony.
However, the October 24 announcement sets a date for their planned wedding celebration, themed #DTTheUnion.
Zlatan, whose real name is Omoniyi Raphael, and Davita have two sons, Toluwalase Omoniyi, born in 2020, and Benaiah Omoniyi, born in 2024.
