The Kaduna State Government has commissioned basic education infrastructure and learning interventions across the 23 local government areas of the state.
The government says the move underscores its commitment to human capital development and improved learning outcomes.
At Sultan Bello Primary School, Unguwan Sarki, the state government formally commissioned education projects delivered across all 23 local government areas since 2023.
Representing Governor Uba Sani, Deputy Governor Hadiza Balarabe said the interventions go beyond buildings — they are about securing the future.
According to government figures, 3,267 classrooms have been constructed or rehabilitated, along with over 2,200 toilet and WASH facilities, 180 hand-pump boreholes, 87 science laboratories, 29 computer centres, and more than 81,000 units of furniture.
Also provided are hundreds of thousands of teaching and learning materials for literacy, numeracy and science, plus vocational centres in public basic schools offering skills in welding, electrical installation, carpentry, fashion design, solar installation, plumbing and masonry.
