Nigeria has recorded an increment in it power generation sector as the Megawatts generated is now closer to 5,000MW.
A report released by the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) yesterday showed that power generation has enormously increased from 3,500MW recorded last week to about 4,518MW recorded yesterday.
This development was attributed to the peace being witnessed in the Niger Delta region as a result of cessation of hostilities by the militants and the rise in water level at various dams across the country.
However, power supply remains relatively poor in most part Lagos and other parts of the country. It was reported that many homes and businesses, most especially those under the Ikeja Distribution Zone have not enjoyed constant power supply despite the fact that they are paying huge amount to the electricity company.
