Economic activities in the Delta state capital of Asaba is expected to improve as a result of the ongoing construction of the Delta Leisure Park and film village.
These were the words of the state governor Ifeanyi Okowa during an inspection tour of the twin project at the state capital, which is fast turning into a hub for actors and actresses for shooting of films.
Speaking on the project after inspecting the construction site, Governor Okowa said the leisure park will serve as a relaxation centre.
On the film village, he stressed that it will encourage Nigerian actors and actresses since Asaba is fast becoming a hub for the industry.
When completed, the twin project is expected to draw a large audience from neighbouring Anambra state where most artistes in the film industry operate from.
