Céline Dion's Husband René Angélil In Recovery
Céline Dion's husband René Angélil is in the process of recovering after he underwent surgery to remove a cancerous tumor from his throat.
The 72-year-old went under the knife last December and the operation was apparently a success. This is René's second battle with throat cancer as he was also diagnosed back in 1999.
Céline released a statement on her husband's health and says they're taking the recovery process very seriously and making sure he gets as much rest as he needs:
"I don't want René to stress out with work-related issues. I want him to focus on getting back to 100%. I've been doing my shows at the Colosseum and everything's under control… At home we've been spending a lot of quality time with the family. We feel very fortunate that we've been able to get the best care possible and we thank God every day for helping us get through this ordeal."
