As Ekiti joins other states to mark Nigeria’s fifty seven years of independence and the twenty one year’s creation of the state, governor Ayodele Fayose has tasked Nigerian leaders to be more sincere with the citizenry to attain national peace.

The governor said this while speaking to newsmen in Ado Ekiti, the state capital on the occasion of Nigeria@57 and Ekiti state @21.

Fayose and other stakeholders in the state however expressed diversed opinions on the pace of development in the state, saying Ekiti is yet to attain its pride of place among committee of states.

On the 21years celebration of the creation of the state, the governor and other stakeholders in the state expressed a diversed view on the pace of development in the state.

Although there was no event to mark the day but, the people of Ekiti state are expectant of more meaningful development as it prepares for the 2018 governorship election.
