The Nigerian Army sector one with its headquarters in Warri have awarded Galaxy television's Dele  Fasan who is the Delta correspondent as the best defence correspondent of the year.

The award was given in recognition of the coverage of military activities in the region with the recently just concluded phase one of the Exercise Crocodile Smile 111 where Galaxy reportage was selected during the Chief of Army Staff visit to Warri as the best.

The award was presented on Friday, November 23 by the sector one commander, Colonel Alhassan Grema in his office after the presentation of chairs and books to primary school children at the Nigerian Army 222 technical headquarters in Okpare Delta state.

It will be recalled that the award is the second to be given out and won by our correspondent after he won the maiden edition in 2009 during the militancy era.
