The Ogun State Government has relieved the vice chancellor of the state owned Tai Solarin University of Education ,Ijagun  Prof. Segun Awonusi of his post  and has approved the appointment of Professor Oluyemisi Oluremi  as the new Vice-Chancellor.

According to a statement issued by the secretary to the State Government,Mr Taiwo Adeoluwa and made available to Galaxy Tv News, the appointment takes immediate effect.

According to the Secretary to the State Government,no reason has been provided for the termination of the appointment of the former Vice Chancellor of the first University of Education in Nigeria.

The new vice chancellor is a seasoned educationist and Professor of Education in the Department of Continuing Education, Faculty of Education of the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Obilade has a Doctorate degree in Education from the Obafemi Awolowo University .

  She also holds Executive Business Education Certificates of the Havard Business School, Havard University , United States of America as well as that of Judge Business School , Cambridge University , United Kingdom .
