The Nigeria Premier Football League game between Rangers International FC and Nasarawa United has been postponed because of heavy rain.

The encounter began at 4 pm at Dan Anyiam Stadium, Owerri, Rangers' adopted home ground.

Rangers headed into the fixture after a dramatic CAF Champions League victory over AS Sobemap FC in Lomé, Togo, where the Nigerian champions prevailed on penalties to book their place in the second preliminary round.

Nassarawa United, meanwhile, arrive with renewed confidence after securing a narrow victory over Bendel Insurance in their previous outing. The Solid Miners have recorded one win and one defeat in their opening two league games.

The first half ended 1-1, but rainfall prevented the second half, forcing the referee to end the game before regulation time.

In a statement, Rangers said, "We will play the rest of the game tomorrow morning at 8:00 AM."

The head-to-head between the two teams:

Rangers Int’l FC 2–0 Nassarawa United

Nassarawa United FC 2–1 Rangers Int’l FC

Nassarawa United FC 1–0 Rangers Int’l FC

Rangers Int’l FC 2–0 Nassarawa United FC

Nassarawa United FC 1–0 Rangers Int’l FC
