Erling Haaland scored second consecutive World Cup brace to fire Norway into victory, defeating Senegal 3-2 at MetLife Stadium in New York/New Jersey to book a spot in the Round of 32.
Substitute Marcus Holmgren Pedersen gave Norway the lead late in the first half, and Haaland extended it early in the second hal in their Group I match.
Ismaila Sarr pulled one back for Senegal, but Haaland capitalized on defensive errors to restore Norway’s two-goal cushion. Sarr added a late consolation, but Norway advanced to the knockout stage with a game to spare.
