FIFA has honoured Nigeria super football star, J.J. Okocha, with Special Award of Superior Man of the Match in Nigeria vs Spain World Cup match in 1998.

Austin J.J. Okocha received Man of the Match award from FIFA for his sterling performance in the Nigeria vs Spain match in the 1998 World Cup, in which Nigeria defeated Spain 3 goals to 2.

The goal from Sunday Oliseh sealed the game for Nigeria, after both teams were drawn 2 goals to 2 towards the dying minute.
