Tragedy has again struck Nigeria football after Kwara United player Azeez Saka, born Zakaria Lasisi, slumped in training this morning and was confirmed dead in hospital, officials said.

Kwara United coach John Obuh confirmed the player’s death.
Obuh further said the Nigeria National League (NNL) team have called off training till Monday as a mark of respect for the dead.

Saka joined Kwara United from Zamfara United and has played a game thus far this season.
