The man, identified as Engr. Mike Ogbuekwe, was nominated for the Executive Chairman of Nkanu East Local Government Area, Enugu State, on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
He seized the woman's telephone handset, and gave it to one of the men in the residence, while the woman was shouting that she was beaten by five men invited by the husband for that purpose.
The man was found wearing torn top and a short, parking a luxury Jeep and Toyota Hilux in his residence.
