The Police, acting on credible intelligence, clamped down of illicit drug dealers in Anambra State, arresting two suspects.

The Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, of the Anambra State Command, SP Ikenga Tochukwu, in a statement, indicated that illicit Drugs worth N6.2 million, and cash of N598,000 were recovered from two suspects, who are currently in custody of the Command.

Tochukwu added that the arrest was made through credible intelligence on the activities of suspected illicit drug dealers operating in Obosi, Idemili North Local Government Area, Anambra State.

The Rapid Response Squad of the Command stormed the Hideouts of the drug dealers in Obosi and arrested the two suspects, identified as Nzube Onyedika and Azia Ugochukwu.

In a follow up search, the police found a large quantity of substances, suspected to be cannabis Sativa, and other illicit drugs, including cash.
