The presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr. Peter Obi, has pledged to implement swift emergency measures to address growing insecurity, pervasive corruption, widespread hunger, and poverty if elected.
The African Democratic Congress Presidential Campaign Council has cautioned that reports alleging pressure on the Independent National Electoral Commission to postpone the January 16 presidential election must be taken seriously, urging INEC leadership to reject any political interference or attempts to adjust the election timetable.
The nominees, if confirmed, will serve five-year terms, according to a statement issued on Friday by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.
