As the gubernatorial election in Osun is being awaited for 2018, political players in the state are jigging up their machineries ahead.

This time, the PeoplesDemocratic Party (PDP), in Osun state is puting its fold together at an event held at the party office.

Our correspondent reports that it was an event to kick start the party' s preparations for the governorship election in slightly over 12 months away.

Following its defeat at the poll in 2014 and consequent loss of the Abeere governor's office of the state, the PDP seemed to be taking its preparation for the 2018 elections early as it maps out plans to take over reign of government from APC.

Although this onslaught is being championed by the one of the factions of the PDP in the state, the factional chairman, Soji Adagunodo said the next 11 months will be used to execute a political process that will give the state a credible candidate to fufil the yearnings of the people and unsit the APC from its reign of power in the state during the 2018

The party condemned the administration of the state by the APC under Aregbesola stating that the people have been impoverished and the state structures and institutions in shambles.

The PDP also used the ocassion to introduced some of its aspiring members for the state governorship race.

The PDP may be getting set truely, but crises facing the pdp from the national level to the state level may be one of the hurdles the party will contend with if serious in its bid to give aregbesola's apc run for its money in 2018.
